Whatever the reason, the focus is always the same; building a custom home that reflects an aesthetic that you are proud of and maximizes and protects the values that are important to you. Mill Creek Custom Homes is not just building a home; we are building part of your future.

Building a new custom home can be a daunting process, but one you should enjoy. To ensure this is an enjoyable process, it is very important that you are comfortable with us on both a professional as well as a personal level.  During our initial meetings we will be asking and answering questions about pricing, quality, amenities, and other items important to the construction of your new home. These meetings are designed to determine if Mill Creek Custom Homes is the company you are comfortable working with and our professional staff is always there to assist you every step of the way. At Mill Creek Custom Homes we are dedicated to customer satisfaction and service. We invite our customer’s feedback and welcome any suggestions.

Our Team

Lance Abel   President

Lance Abel has over 25 years of professional sales and management experience. He was introduced to new homebuilding in 1996 with Dover Homes and Kaufman Broad/ General Homes through merger and acquisition. Lance was recruited by Imperial Homes in 1999 where he held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for 10 years. In 2009, Lance started Mill Creek Custom Homes in Bellville, Texas with a passion to bring his extensive knowledge, experience, and design flair to the central Texas area, where he and his family moved in 2007. Lance has a passion for innovation and design. His vision has and will always be to build homes for his clients in the manner he would build his own home. A simple principle that ensures satisfied customers.

Christie Abel   Vice President

Christie holds a BA degree from Sam Houston State University with a major in Business Management. She has over 19 years of experience in the Real Estate and Mortgage Banking industry. Christie currently holds the position of Vice President.

David Hadsell   Sales Manager

David Hadsell attended the University of Texas at Austin where he majored in Corporate Communications. He joined Mill Creek Custom Homes in 2013 with over 10 years of sales and management experience. He has worked in various fields within the housing industry. He began his career as a mortgage banker in Austin and was promoted to Vice President of Operations for a statewide mortgage company. After moving his family to Brenham, Texas his focus shifted to custom home sales and construction. He currently holds the position of custom homes Sales Manager at our Sales and Design Center in Chappell Hill, Texas.

Madison Abel   Marketing and Social Media Coordinator

Madison has a BA in Communication Studies from Sam Houston State University. She joined Mill Creek Custom Homes in 2018 to enhance and improve the marketing and social media efforts. Madison is a valuable member of our team, as she keeps our social media up to date and helps us to market our company and homes. Outside of the office her hobbies are spending time with her two dogs.

John Schneider   Sales

John holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Texas. He has over 24 years of homebuilding experience that includes ownership, sales, and construction. He has a wife and two children and is a local resident of Washington County. John joined the Mill Creek Custom Homes team in 2019.

Michelle Townsend   Office Manager

Mrs. Townsend moved to Bellville, Texas in 2002 with her family pursuing a career in the field of education. She worked in various fields of education in both public and private schools for over 10 years. She received her Administrator Certification and numerous Technology Certificates from the Texas Teachers Academy. She joined Mill Creek Custom Homes in 2014 as the Construction Coordinator. Mrs. Townsend is a valuable part of our team helping to coordinate and schedule the construction of our homes. Outside of the office her interest include spending time with her sons, watching movies, and attending baseball games.

Helen Moody   Purchasing Agent

Mrs. Moody moved to Chappell Hill, Texas in 2001 where she still lives today with her husband of 30 years. She worked in stainless steel sales in Houston for 10 years prior to their move to Chappell Hill, then moved into purchasing with a large machine shop in Brenham for over 8 years. She has been with Mill Creek Custom Homes since 2017 assisting with obtaining quotes for customers selections and building materials. In her spare time she enjoys yard work, gardening, spending time with friends and observing our abundant Texas wildlife.

Nancy Jaster   Accounts Payable

Nancy Jaster moved to Bellville, Texas in 2009. She joined Mill Creek Custom Homes in 2010. She currently reviews all vendor invoices for payment along with other Account Payable clerical duties. Prior to joining Mill Creek Custom Homes she worked for an Oil & Gas Company, and both private and public school systems. Her 45 years of prior work experience involved working with employees and/or parents/alumni throughout the private school, public school district and oil and gas field. Since moving to Bellville, Texas she and her husband have been involved in numerous community organizations. She loves spending time with her sons, their wives and one grandson that live in the Hill Country. She enjoys reading and is in a local Book Club.

Monica Reeves   Sales Coordinator

Monica brings over 10 years of customer service experience, flooring, design and management from local Brenham businesses. She joined the Mill Creek Team in 2018. She is active in the Washington County Fair, serving over 5 years on the Colt Committee. Monica holds a BBA of Marketing from Texas State University and an Associate Degree of Science from Blinn College. Miss Reeves resides on the family farm near Burton.

Sandy Brune   Purchasing Manager & Warranty Coordinator

Sandy joined Mill Creek in 2017 after a long career in real estate related businesses. Experienced with the ins and outs of home building, she strives to receive competing bids on work performed, to provide the customer with the most value for their money. Sandy has sat on numerous charitable foundations and fair boards, and is a past Board of Director at the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce. Sandy, and her husband Bobby, live in Tomball in a Mill Creek Custom home – one of numerous projects they contracted with Mill Creek.

Meagan Semora   Design Coordinator

Meagan Semora is the Design Coordinator at Mill Creek Custom Homes. Meagan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University where she studied interior design and a real estate certificate from Blinn College. She brings to Mill Creek Custom Homes over 5 years of architectural and design experience in both the commercial and residential industry. She has been an employee since 2017. Meagan is an active member of both the American Society of Interior Designers and International Interior Design Association. After college Meagan moved back to her hometown, Columbus, Texas, where she currently resides.

Bryan Sanders   Pool Sales and Construction

Bryan Sanders joined the Mill Creek Team in 2017, to launch and manage the Pool & Outdoor Living Division. Mr. Sanders is a landscape designer that excels at creating exciting designs for clients. He takes the time to genuinely listen to client’s desires and brings their visions to life. Mr. Sanders is a member of The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals and has over 20 years of experience. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he met his wife Shannon. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family. After two decades of coaching youth sports for his three children, he now treasurers being a spectator at his children’s sporting events and participating in their athletic booster clubs.

Marie Lowe   Purchasing and Warranty

Marie has been employed with Mill Creek Custom Homes for over four years. The majority of her working career has been in school business administration, with twenty four years in several public schools in Texas and another eight years in a private Christian school. Her husband Jimmy is a retired teacher. They have two daughters who are both married and have four grandchildren. Marie and her husband live in Carmine and are members of Martin Luther Lutheran Church. They own a small farm, raising cattle and sheep. Marie’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her family. She absolutely loves being “Nonie” to her grandchildren. Marie has a variety of hobbies including arts and crafts, working in her flower garden, scrapbooking and genealogy. She enjoys reading and just being outdoors.

John Hill   Operations Manager

John Hill has over 15 years of construction management experience. His resume includes production and custom home building. John rejoined the Mill Creek team in 2017 after opening with the company in 2009. He takes great pride in doing his job well. John’s hobbies include family time with his wife and children.

Moby Cales   Operations Manager

Moby Cales has over 40 years of construction and construction management experience. His resume includes production and custom building over the last four decades. Moby has an extensive knowledge of homebuilding. He takes pride in the fact that he has worked in construction his entire career. In his free time, Moby enjoys watching baseball and spending time with his son.
